There is a new feminine fragrance appeared in the collection of French perfume House of Parfums MDCI. It's called Cio Cio San. The perfume was created by Cécile Zarokian, who has already worked with Claude Marchal. Parfums MDCI's Nuit Andalouse was also made by Cécile.
Fragrance is named after Giacomo Puccini's Madama Butterfly protagonist - young geisha Cio Cio San.

Japanese culture became main theme of the composition because, according to Claude Marchal, he: "at one point the life has collected ancient japanese wood prints and was fascinated by japanese art in general". Then, being intrigued by creating a fragrance built around the theme, he gave perfumer the brief, saying: "a fragrance that would evoque of Far East, more precisely of Japan, a country, where fragrance is not something inherent to the local culture".

So, the fragrance created by Cécile, became "an occidental vision of imaginary Japan. Images of spring in Nara, temples, artfully made gardens, precious silks, tea houses, out-of-this-world geishas..."
Notes: yuzu, lemon, limette, ginger, grapefruit, cherry blossom, peony, litchi, oolong tea, guaiac wood, cedar, musk
Fragrance will be presented in bottles both with bust and without it as 75 ml Eau de Parfum.
