The proliferation of subscription boxes in the fragrance and beauty industry is prompting new business models within perfume houses, too. For CB I Hate Perfume, which is already known for pushing the boundaries of how the perfume industry does business, this latest venture is a testament to the house's innovative approach to fragrance and how it should be experienced.
CB I Hate Perfume has announced the launch of Voyage, a new subscription-based perfume club offering members a monthly selection from the company’s extensive library of provocative and innovative scents.
"Perfume is an art that is meant to be inhaled. I ask you keep in mind it’s the journey into the invisible that is most important, that journey begins with the very first sniff, and where it could take you is always the adventure. So, dare to accept my invitation to the voyage and you may be surprised where it leads you,” says CBIHP founder and perfumer Christopher Brosius.
With a current collection comprised of 44 perfumes developed by Brosius since the house debuted ten years ago, CB I Hate Perfume has solidified its reputation as an authority in independent fragrance. The launch of Voyage offers fragrance fans an invitation to experience this unique olfactory journey and to collect each special scent along the way.
Each month, Voyage subscribers will receive one 2 ml trial absolute from the Ready To Wear Collection, curated by CB I Hate Perfume, as well as a specially designed collectible card for each perfume listing the story that inspired it and information about each unique fragrance.
The cost is $35 per fragrance when billed monthly, but customers can take advantage of a 10% discount if they pay for the subscription upfront at a cost of $1386 USD, and they will still receive all 44 fragrances monthly.
